Talking about the Roman Catles, one would start thinking about the history, the costumes and the legends linked to these ancient areas, that have been witness of Rome's birth.
Over the centuries, these towns were able to preserve their uniqueness and could maintain the costumes and the traditions typical of this area; and it's in the cooking that we still find nowadays the flavour of these old traditions.
All kind of slices, olives, cheese, the famous roasted pork (porchetta) of Ariccia. together with the Ariccia's bread and the Roman Castles' wine, first dishes of pasta and famous soups, like pasta and beans, or fettuccine with meatsauce (the so called garofanato), different choices of second courses and, at the end of the meal, the local dessert wine, Romanella, with the famous ciambelline, wine-flavoured ring-shaped cakes.
All this at 30 minutes from the centre of Rome. It will be lovely to spend an evening with us, especially after a working week, and you'll find such a friendly environment that you'll come back soon.....
